Course Duration - March 12, 2026 - May 7, 2026 (Classes are held on Thursdays) Location: Southern Recreation Center - 1290 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32164 Time: 5:00 - 7:00 PM Age: 16+ Requirements: Bring your own device for learning. A laptop is recommended but an iPad or a tablet can be used for lessons. The Canva Graphic Design Fundamentals course is a hands-on, beginner-friendly program designed to teach the core principles of graphic design using Canva. This course focuses on practical, real-world skills that students can immediately apply for personal projects, school, business, or income opportunities. Over the duration of the course, students will learn the basics of layout, color, typography, and visual hierarchy, while gaining confidence navigating and using Canva’s tools. Lessons are interactive and project-based, allowing students to design social media graphics, flyers, posters, and simple brand materials. This course is ideal for beginners with little to no design experience, as well as small business owners, creatives, and community members looking to upskill. No prior design knowledge is required—just a willingness to learn and create. By the end of the course, students will leave with completed design projects, a foundational understanding of graphic design, and the confidence to continue designing independently using Canva.
